Windows 10 or OS X?

10

I plan to switch to OS X because Microsoft can't do it with updates. One mistake here, one bug. Only yesterday I was allowed to reset my notebook 6 times because the new update broke my network driver. Not even a new installation has helped.

Clearly Apple also spanked the updates from time to time. But Microsoft is the crowning glory in my opinion.

How do you see that

Windows 10 advantages:

Open source, pretty much every program runs on it.

OS X advantages:

Always runs very smoothly, perfect for Apple's own cosmos.

You have control over what your PC does and not what the system wants! Windows is actually the better in any case. Linux is also good

Problem 1. Automated updates 2. Problem treatment rarely works 3. Yes I'm in control, but only 50% (50% I | 50% Microsoft) And you have real. Linux is good, very good. If I didn't need MC Office and Outlook, I would switch to Debian 10 KDE

Ap

I would only recommend Linux to people who know a little about computers.

That's true. The installation and configuration alone is without. But you can learn it

There's nothing more stable and with a very good antivirus.

No one needs that, it is the epitome of malware.

This is not my experience at all now.

It depends on the distribution, professional like Debian, Red Hat etc. Are already very extensive during the setup, but more consumer-oriented like Ubuntu or Mint, just last week Kubuntu installed on a new computer and the steps after booting the setup stick are language selection, connect to WLAN if no LAN cable is plugged in, then whether it should download updates during setup (hence the Internet connection) and third-party software, then partitioning, either automatically, for example, only this system is installed or manually, where you basically just have to create a partition and then you can start with the installation, meanwhile you set username and password, as well as region / keyboard and after a new start you can start.

However, some things are really a bit cumbersome, others are simpler, for Steam I simply enter "sudo apt install steam" in the terminal and he downloads it and installs it, at least to some extent, the first time the client is downloaded and installed.

Driver is sometimes difficult, I have not been able to get it with AMD graphics so far and my Spyder 5 Pro (monitor calibration device) is still not running because DispCAL does not recognize it.

Well, have other experiences.
