How do I copy music CDs on the laptop?

Sh

It is explained well here.

Li

My players have a menu item where I can click that. Then it depends on whether you want to have that directly or as MP3 in compressed form.

Naha, copy so easy, or pull on the PC is not there. For that you need a special program.

If the CD still has no copy protection, then you can, for example. Take something like "No.23 Recorder". There's a selection screen called ribs.

If a copy protection on it, then it's more difficult, because it's not legal.

If you buy a CD and then copy it to your computer, that is not illegal, as long as you can prove the purchase and do not distribute the music any further.

You can't and should not bypass the copy protection. This was introduced a few years ago. Thereupon disappeared also various programs, which levered out the copy protection from the market.

If the medium has no copy protection, then you can of course create a copy for your own use. (In small quantities also to friends and family.)

The rule was changed again here is currently unknown to me.

Ha

You do not need to bypass the copy protection. With Windows Media Player you can easily copy any CD to the computer.

I have just looked again and now music CD's are no longer provided with a copy protection. But nevertheless the regulation of 2008 remains final.

I've seen that's exactly what I've written, namely that copying music for private use is allowed. I can only say from my own experience that I have for years with Windows Media Player itself music by world stars such as. By MJ, Robbie W. Etc. Copied from CD to my computer and had never had problems with the copy protection. If so, Microsoft's WMP would not have been offering the feature for years.

Then you were lucky. Here and there I already had some CD's that were not legal to copy. (But let's face it, who knows how to help himself does not need a copy protection cracker.)

Ha

I have copied all my CDs to my computer because I prefer to archive them as MP3 so that the CDs do not wear out. But never had problems with the copy protection. For DVDs always.
