Computer in the bedroom at the head end?

I have a question again… I have had a PC in my room for almost 1 year, but only now have I found out from a friend that computers and laptops emit radiation that is said to be dangerous for health! My PC is about 20 centimeters from my pillow because I have a small room! In the evening I mostly forget to shut it down and it runs in standby mode, just like my screen, which is also in standby mode every evening! Talking to my friend yesterday evening I turned off the socket switch so that no more electricity flows into the devices at all! Question: Is it detrimental to my health that I have my computer and my television set so close to my head and that I have always had it on in standby mode in the evenings until now?

Okay, seriously… This "radiation" is so low that you would have to be off for 20 years without interruption and the strength of the radiation would have to be 10 times higher. In a nutshell… Don't bother 😉

No, you don't have to worry about that. What I would not recommend, however, is to have the cell phone directly on your head for several hours (like when making a call), because then you get the highest dose. But with a TV or PC, you don't have to worry.

Thanks a lot!

No problem 😊😊👍👍

Feel better thank you!

Usually not and I'm not aware of any studies that would actually prove such a thing.

Your PC also has different power modes, in hibernation mode it is almost completely off, in sleep the main memory still receives power so that the data stored there's not lost (in hibernation it is written to the hard drive). Well, not much happens there anyway.

Personally, it just bothers me if I have these standby lights somewhere, that's my reason to turn off the power strip, and - even if it's not much - I find the standby things to be a waste of energy.

However, because of the dpermuen, men are advised not to have their cellphone in the cellular network and in their pocket

I always turn off my devices overnight, why leaving them on unnecessarily at night does not help.

OK thank you!

Yes well so pc should be shut down when not in use for a long time

It was general for me that is why I hardly turned off flight mode during the day

Yes, well, I only have airplane mode on when I want to save battery or don't want to receive calls and have Wi-Fi.

All nonsense, there's no radiation that is harmful in any way from common devices that you find in the house. I'm also a prime example of, as a child I had a PC by the bed for years out of laziness and because it was my smaller room. In addition, a desk with a second PC, at least one game console and the TV on the shelf at the foot end.
