Drivers for my camera?

I'm not exactly a computer science professional, but I still want to load photos from my Canon G2 camera onto my laptop.

There it says: Driver not available… After a little googling I have now found out what a driver is, how to deactivate the security mode of Windows 10 and unfortunately also that there's no driver for this model with Windows 10. The memory card does not fit in my laptop either.

Do I really have to buy such an expensive card reader now? Or can you also create a driver yourself? What can I do now?
