Technical problem on the laptop, transferring pictures from the smartphone to the PC?

I would like to drag pictures and music from the smartphone to my laptop, unfortunately it works, although I bought a new charging cable. This error message appears. Does anyone know what that could be?

Either your mobile phone has overall problems with the USB port, e.g. Because it goes into charging mode at the same time and draws more current than the port can deliver and for this reason the port is then switched off briefly or permanently.

You still have to configure the transfer to the PC on your mobile phone, with some mobile phones you have to choose whether data should be transferred or only loaded. Without a selection, the mobile phone is usually only charged.
