Moin people,
How do I play a new operating system via USB on a laptop?
What do I have to consider?
Which programs do I need with which to play it?
1. An ISO file of the respective operating system.
2.https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
With this tool you can set up a bootable usb stick.
After you have done it stick in the pc reboot bootmenu select mostly f11
Select usb stick
follow instructions
Boot from the stick Select Custom installation, delete all partitions.
Now it depends on how big yours. It should be clicked on New, 300000 corresponds to 300GB.
Now you can install Windows follow the instructions.
The rest of the disk can be found in the Disk Management.
First insert a storage medium.
Then open cmd as Adimistrator.
Then enter the following commands, where X should be your external storage medium on "sel dis x", which you often recognize by its memory size:
> diskpart
> dis dis
> sel dis X
> attrib disk clear readonly
> clean
create partition primary
> sel part 1
*> format fs = ntfs quick (Windows)
*> format fs = fat32 quick (GNULinux / Unix)
> active
> assign
> exit
Finished.
Then with Rufus (download the program) load the ISO file (which you can download with the Windows ISO Downloader from Heididoc) on the stick, with MBR in the settings you're on the safe side, with Win10 but also GPT.
Then reboot, at startup quickly with f12 in the BIOS / UEFI, disable secure boot and boot order the previously prepared storage medium in the first place. Then Safe and Exit (F4) and restart. Then at boot, press F9 to get into the boot menu and select the storage medium with the ISO there. Now it should boot the OS or at least ask if Live or Hard Install, where Hard Install is the direct installation and the Live just a Live Image.
