Can a USB port cripple usb sticks?

I just wanted to copy a backup from one of my USB sticks (256gb) to an external hard drive, but shortly after I plugged it in, the led from the stick went out again. Well, it may be that it is defective, it is already older and luckily the backup was not too important. So I continued with my 512gb stick and shortly after I plugged it in it didn't work either. Don't think that was a coincidence, so I tried it again with a 64gb stick and lo and behold, it doesn't work anymore.

I tried that: Other ports on the PC (back, front and top), none is shown in the device manager and also not in the data carrier management, drivers reinstalled, nothing works on two other laptops either, usb case opened and superficially have none Discover damage;

Maybe someone of you knows if it was just a coincidence or if my PC really destroyed all USB sticks.

I already know what little problem you have.

Please write me what operating system status update and so on

then go to the drivers and try to uninstall and reinstall them and after a restart it should work again,

You can also search for the appropriate driver on the internet

Re

That's why you don't use flash memory for backups, but yes that can be possible. Best sealed with hot glue if it was just a port.

Windows 10 64bit, latest updates are installed (1909, Build: 18363.836), AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb Ram, gtx 1660

I have already uninstalled drivers and installed the appropriate ones. USBs are still not responding and the LEDs are not lit either. Restarted often.
