Why doesn't 4k look hd to me?

I have a laptop with 4K resolution.

But when I turn it on YouTube it usually doesn't even look good like hd on a cell phone. Is it because the screen is so big or the internet is not so good. And as a side question, 8 Gb RAM are enough to play games like valorant or would minecraft or something like that work or not again?

Would it make sense to know the rest of the system? And 8GB are minimum and what kind of internet line do you have? You also have to watch a 4k video…

Ar

So 8GB are already thin, especially since the device with a 4k display should be newer. And as far as the YT quality is concerned: You are shown 4k / "promised" but the quality is strongly depressed by the whole compression.

Change the video quality on YouTube - you can do that in the video at the bottom right. There should be a gear as a symbol for settings. This has nothing to do with the display size - either 4K or no 4K. 8GB RAN should be used for e.g. Minecraft is enough for now.

At yt, very few have a 4k camera / recording. And I personally think that UHD is enough

Da

Most videos on Youtube are just FullHD xD

Otherwise change the resolution via Windows (if this has not already been done automatically)

8gb are very scarce… Especially if you want to play in 4k 16gb could be scarce at times…

So FullHD: yes, with low settings

4k: No.

In addition, of course, it all depends on the remaining components of your laptop… I don't think your laptop packs 4k: /
