I have the following problem. My arrow key broke out on my laptop when I tried to remove it (to clean it underneath). The problem is that the mounting hooks underneath are broken, what can I do now?
If there's a button with the same shape you can take it out and swap it, but this is only possible if it is not important to you
Will not work because 2 of these ticks holding the button have broken off
You can take it to a repair shop, or you can omit the button and press the finger contact.
Can they also repair it in a workshop if the 4 hooks that have broken off?
I'm assuming they'll install a new keyboard, but you can ask if they can do it and what they would do.
They will replace the hooks, but it can cost a few euro. If you can find a broken keyboard somewhere that only costs a little bit, you can do the repair yourself.
But I would just ask in the workshop what it would cost you.
