You can download an operating system (e.g. Windows from microsoft) from the internet. Then you get the iso file - and you can put it on the stick. Presumably then have to change in the bios that it has to boot from usb.

Commas help… But best of all, plug it into a USB 3.0 slot (mostly blue) and the motherboard should automatically select the egtl from the boot disk. Then you have to enter win10 code, if you don't have one just get one online and install it

Nothing happens by itself. The best thing to do is:

Get the operating system of your choice as an ISO file from the network (you can also find it for Win10).

Then you take a tool and let it create the stick for you, i.e. Make it bootable and install the operating system: https://www.chip.de/...86243.html

If you want to boot from USB, you have to tell the system beforehand in the BIOS that the first boot drive should be the USB socket, then the hard drive.

Usually (if everything has been set up correctly) you boot from the USB stick and if that doesn't work, then only from the hard drive.
