My laptop does not have a Wi-Fi connection anymore - even though my Wi-Fi works fine (my daughter has no problems with that). When displaying existing Wi-Fi connections are usually listed by neighbors - not even those are displayed. I can only access the internet by cable. What can I do to get my laptop back on Wi-Fi?
Update the drivers for the Wi-Fi module in your laptop. That you can z.b. Make about the device manager.
And how does that work? Unfortunately have little idea of the PC
Most laptops have a switch (or keyboard shortcut) that allows you to turn Wi-Fi on and off. Is that on or off?
Look if Wi-Fi is activated.
My wireless router is of course turned on…
No idea:-( I hear that for the first time, how do I find out if it's on or off, where can I find the switch or what is the keyboard shortcut?
No, whether the WLAN is activated to your laptop.
Well, I have no idea, because I do not know what laptop you have, or have I overlooked this info of you? But you might just have a look, if you find the switch or maybe look in the instructions for the laptop.
Whether Wi-Fi is on or off, may be indicated by a lit (or just not or orange glowing) radio anywhere in the keyboard area or the same button. The switch is mostly on the side or below the screen.
