Hard drive with Windows broken what to do?

For some weeks I have had the problem that my SSD (1TB from Crucial) is sometimes not recognized and so Windows can't boot. I have already ordered a 120GB SSD where I can only install Windows. This is not there yet. Now I have the problem that my SSD is no longer displayed in the boot manager. Have the PC restarted, hard drive and plugged in, SATA cable changed. I can't boot from a USB stick because my PC is the only PC in the household besides a very old and slow laptop. What can I do best now? Wait until the new SSD is there and buy Windows again? Or is there another way?

First of all, if there was already Win10 installed, after reinstalling on the new drive no new key or so must be entered, but is also without again released.

If the SSD is broken, I would let check times in the PC repair shop, so it's nothing more to do!

You can, however, first boot the system with an emergency CD / Stick and check the SSD from this system.

The emergency DVD is available in every computer picture magazine with DVD.

Your hard drive may be in last legs. Save all data and wait for the new hard drive. Do not turn on the PC unnecessarily.

Windows you do not have to buy new, but with a tool (Google helps) read the key. You can install Win 10 from an ISO that you download from MS and burn to DVD. - on the new SSD.

Then you can try if you can still access the old hard disk as a "slave". I would rather not entrust sensitive data to her anymore.
