I wanted to plug my USB device (a Launchpad Mk2) into my laptop. The message came that my USB device was not recognized. At first I suspected that the cable was broken. I tried the device on our pc (also windows 10) and I got an error message again. When I tried it on our Mac, it worked. That's why I think it's Windows 10.
Things I've already tried:
- Driver updated - device uninstalled and plugged in again - required drivers for the launchpad downloaded - selective USB energy saving deactivated - checked for updates and all installed
As a last resort, I would reboot Windows
Do you have a plan for what I could do?
ps: after looking in the settings it said there was a driver error
If you have USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the computer, try using the others. It does not help to simply use the port next to it, since the internal ports are often connected to a hub.
Some ports may be marked differently or the like.
Have already tried all ports
Do you have the different ports on computers? Otherwise try using the Device Manager to completely uninstall the drivers and download the latest drivers from the manufacturer. Don't let Windows install them automatically. The error may be hanging there.

This seems to me to be important:
If you are concerned your Launchpad is not working the first thing you should do is make sure it is properly connecting to the computer's Device Manager or System Information.
First download and install the Novation USB 1.1 Driver for your Launchpad http://us.novationmusic.com/support/product-downloads?product=Launchpad.
You keep hearing problems with USB 3 and Type B.
I have 2 USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. The launchpad cable has USB 2.0. How do you completely uninstall the driver?
If you don't know that, sorry, you better leave it alone. Otherwise you can quickly break something that is irrevocable
