I took out the hard drive of my other notebook and formatted it for the reason that this notebook refused to install a new operating system. Now I get the message that she has this error 0xc000000f and it is not possible to install an operating system via USB stick. What would interest me is to leave any files on the hard drive to make it work? And would it make any sense to have the ISO file of an operating system on the hard drive and somehow install it without a USB stick? Who knows what to do?
I actually installed my operating system via the hard drive, simply unzip the iso file and start the installation as with all other programs, and it will lead you to the installation menu, but if the hard drive has an error code you should first check whether it is completely ok I think with cpu z you could see that, but I don't really know that.
And you should check in the BIOS which boot option is given.
What format did you format it on?
A hard drive does not need any data to install an operating system on it. Format the hard drive again and create a new setup medium. Something went wrong. Iso on the hard disk is not a start option for the UEFI / BIOS, so this option is not available.
Did you format them on Fat32? Otherwise it is not recognized as a bootable medium.
Otherwise, look in the BIOS / UEFI settings whether you have selected the disk as boot medium.
Did you format them on Fat32? No. Unfortunately I didn't know that it would only be recognized as a bootable medium. I will try again.
Unfortunately I forgot about that.
This should not matter in Windows Setup, hard drives are recognized. It doesn't matter how which partition is formatted. Windows would e.g. Also delete an existing EXT4 partition with a Linux system completely if you confirm this.
