Poor internet connection after a small construction project?

I recently had craftsmen in my apartment who installed a board on the wall. To do this, they had to attach it to the wall using a metal bracket. Goofy about 40 cm in a flight over my phone socket.

Since then my internet connection has become much worse. A speed measurement by me showed very good values, a measurement by Telekom was also very good. That would suggest that they didn't cut any cables. I would also find it unusual for cables to run upwards, i.e. Almost through the middle of the wall, despite the old building.

Now it is the case that some pages practically no longer load, mainly those that seem to run on servers that are not as strong. Others like Google, yt, run quite normally.

I find it strange that the connection is apparently still good but the reception between router and end devices is bad. It is independent of whether it is a cell phone, laptop or tablet. The browsers don't either. The router shows no malfunction, has been restarted. All current updates are on it.

Does anyone have an idea or advice?

Basically, it's just about WLAN and not about Internet access as such.

Of course, I don't know how the router is positioned and what exactly was installed there.

But depending on the possibility, there may be reflections that are unfavorable on the part of the WLAN and interfere with the WLAN reception. But shouldn't be equally bad everywhere.

If necessary, position the router differently. Could help.

So the router was exactly in front of it. I had also repositioned it as far as the cable goes. It didn't help. As I said, there are only two metal angles with a leg length of about 15cm…

So it's about Wi-Fi. All right.
Then the answer is:

mchawks gfn phrase 11:
Radio is unstable - always! No exception!
(Yes: WLAN is a radio technology!)

And yes: Even attaching a "board" can completely mess up the radio landscape.
