Laptop freezes in lock screen?

After booting up, the laptop does not respond to the keyboard and the lock image switches from blurry to sharp and back every now and then. Restarting doesn't help and the problem has been there for a few days

Try to remember when exactly this problem started. Your descriptions indicate an update error.

If you can still go to the "Update and Security / Windows Updates" settings, view your update history and delete all updates that were picked up after the error occurred. If the error no longer occurs, one of these updates was the cause. Let your PC check for updates again. Make a note of all KB numbers of the updates found. Install one update after the other and try to locate the "problem update"

If you can no longer access your settings, use the system restore function to reset your computer to a date before the error occurred. To do this, it may be necessary to start the computer in "Safe Mode" and try to restore the system there.

If that is no longer possible, you can start the computer with the help of the installation DVD (or USB stick) and use the "Repair your computer" function here.

If this option does not work either… Do you hopefully have an up-to-date backup to rewind?!
