Which external camera for iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation?

Dear Community,

my mother is a lecturer and gives online courses. This has increased due to the pandemic, but in principle the travel KM should also be reduced in the pandemic.

She is in the medical field also showing exercises on a doll / skeleton, about 1-2 meters behind her.

It requires an external camera that can be operated on the iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation and automatically focuses when you go to the exercise objects.

A professional studio microphone is available, but ideally the camera takes care of it, or in this semi-professional area my research already speaks of so-called conferencing systems.

My mother is outstanding in her profession. At the same time, all my attempts to use a Windows or Mac PC or laptop have so far failed. The user experience and intuitive operation are too bad for her or desktop operating systems (even MacOS) too complex / complicated. Please leave that out of the question when you ask, from my point of view there's no way in.

I thought in the direction of, among other things, I was not able to identify compatibility with the iPad Pro so far. From my point of view, Apple now differentiates its OS into iOS, TabletOS and MacOS - not easy to understand when it comes to compatibility for "non-Apple" devices.

Price limit 1,000 euro, better up to 750 euro. Refurbished or GradeA would be ok.

Thanks for your support

Interesting question. As long as it remains in the camera's detection range, the auto focus can work. But what if she points at something and now should the camera focus on that? Or it moves outside of the detection area… Do you also want tracking (no idea what that is called)? A cameraman would be easier.

Te

Thank you very much, you stay within the detection range and an autofocus would be enough.

Much more difficult, however, is the compatibility with Apple's Tablet OS on the iPad Pro listed.

Do you have a tip on how to identify a camera system that can do that. The usual searches on Google didn't get me anywhere.

mi

Well, the ipad's internal camera can do that

@miezepussi In the test, the quality was not sufficient and we're looking for a system with at least semi-professional sound / micro. We have a recording studio mic, like many YouTubers use. I would prefer if the (good) microphone and camera were one system.

It would be easier and cheaper if the teacher stayed in front of the Ipad and only faded in slides, that works at least with zoom (or whatever it is called)
