I bought a new laptop and wanted to buy the office package as well. Now, unfortunately, you can usually only buy subscriptions on the official Microsoft website and they can also be paid for in a princely manner. Offers on Ebay and Co are cheap, but not necessarily legal.
As an alternative Libre Office, you don't need a key, so you don't have any hassle and it costs nothing.

I bought that for myself. I then add the key to the Microsoft account and can manage it via Office.
