Can you build a laptop / notebook yourself?

co

No, you can't. At least not in the sense of how you can assemble a desktop PC from individual parts.

Easy answer? No. The boards are adapted to the housing, furthermore the battery, mass storage and Co. As well as a suitable cooling solution.

Ne doesn't use up your time with something like that doesn't look at other people who asked something like that.

But if you still want a value for money laptop then I recommend a barebone laptop there you get a "half laptop" where mainboard graphics card battery and display plus housing are installed the rest you have to install yourself.

I'll link that to you: https://www.barebone-notebooks.com/barebones.html

Yes.

Of course you have to buy the basic components, mainboard, CPU, RAM, SSD, monitor, keyboard etc.

You can build the case yourself, depending on your skills, from the school box to the model from a 3D printer.

From a cigar box, a battery, a Raspberry Pi and a small LCD with touch function, you can easily build a tablet that looks and works better than Lego. With a keyboard you overtake the Tricorder from Spock.

I think the project is great.
