The question is up anyway, I hope you can help me.

I know I need a laptop with good graphics no more xD

What are you going to do with it?

For most things like Matlab / Octave, an IDE etc. You don't need a lot of power. As a civil engineer, you could also come into contact with 3D CAD software, whereby the question would also be how extensive the projects are and whether the software e.g. The GPU is using.

Without specific requirements, I would say any modern laptop is sufficient. Would I use Renoir chips 4xxxU chips if you can get them cheap or 5xxxU chips based on Cezanne (5800U or 5600U) in the near future.

If you also want to use the laptop for transcripts, we're currently Only the Surface Pro series (intel core only), HP envy x360 13 or IdeaPad Flex 5 (both maximum 4700U) in question. The 13 "x360 is more of a 2in1 and also the somewhat more attractive laptop, but like the Surface series it uses the N-Trig technology for pen input, the Flex 5 uses the better Wacom AES (with Digitizertech I would say EMR> Apple> AES> N-Trig> all other technologies), although you can also write very well on the Surfaces and x360.
