Wi-Fi / internet has problems, what to do?

For some weeks my Internet / WLAN has a few problems. Initially, our TV had a slightly longer lead, i. He did not immediately change the station, but remained black for a few seconds. Now it is also that I'm not automatically connected to the phone when I arrive at home or my cellphone in the morning turn on (it is set to "connect automatically"). It takes an incredibly long time before it is finally connected. With our box, the Internet, TV and telephone together, everything seems to be OK, according to the customer service. The box is only max. Two years old and from Sunrise.

Anyway, my laptop needs forever until it finally loads a page, let alone a video, but it probably has a hardware problem and I have to send it to the repair shop. Furthermore, if I want to use the laptop to the Internet, then I can't simultaneously with the phone to the Internet, because it then either long or not charging.

Can it all be related to my laptop? If not, how can I fix it?

If you apply the exclusion principle, obviously all devices have the same problem at the same time. Which can't be. So it's the router and it does not have to be "broken".

First, the Wi-Fi LED lights up permanently without interruptions?

Wlan is a very sensitive, often goofy brat

Do you have other permanent radio networks that are new since the problems exist? A radio bell, something like that? It can completely disable the Wi-Fi.

Then there are permanent disturbances, but already occur as soon as a router is new and located at the site. Water (water pipe in the wall behind) Wood and Wlan are mortal enemies. But there are exceptions

For example, my ancient sinus router stands on a real wood chest of drawers. The only thing here and now is the wlan stick.

So, look what the WLan signal could interfere with. If you have something that you think but do not know ask.

I check in regularly

If it is just as bad with a LAN cable, it depends on the bandwidth (speed) of the Internet. It also depends on how many people in the street / neighborhood e.g. Just streaming NEtflix, when we still had a 16,000 line, we often noticed that. Since the 50.000er no more problems.

The WLAN LED has been lit permanently for a few days. Initially, the repair icon sometimes flashed / blinked.

Not that I know. We have a new TV box but that should not be related.

The device is about two years old and we have only had these disturbances for a few weeks.

Great thank you!

A repair lamp I do not know, but your router of course not synonymous. Write me the router name.

And what is a TV box?

First of all, I have to do a few things, so if I know, it will take a while.

I can't find the name right now. It is the Sunrise Internet Box.

The TV box is the small box of Sunrise, which is only related to the TV. For the stations etc.

No problem, thanks again

One thing occurred to me. Do you live in a family house, or in a multiple dwelling. Has someone a new, strong router. Might cause trouble for everyone

So on the sunrise website that actually comes from Switzerland? Is all the manuals there, except for routers. Turn that thing around and google it for a while.

You have the instruction manual, what does the repair lamp say when the flashes / lights up (even if it is off now, look it up!)

And a box for the TV is normally called Receiver. Since you only write from a TV box, I have the strong suspicion that you have a small provider, which gives a double offer, Therefore, you can't find the box. Something like that exists here with housing providers, but they gave up.

And that makes it almost impossible to help. Try to get someone who comes from there.

Multi-family house and yes that may well be possible.

Exactly these. There's a little step-by-step tutorial on the internet if something is wrong, but that does not help either.

The repair light will simply say if an update or service is running.

I do not know that far, but I can be very good, I do not know.

I do not believe that too 100%, but he said he had the speed optimized a bit better and it would not be better.

So you know the cut of the house. Put it as far as possible from the other / the other Whg away. Does not work. Wlan amplifier.

You can try a little aluminum foil and Tesa. The aluminum foil behind the router to the wall to the neighbors. Can't help, it does not have, but because the effort goes to zero.
