How do you go to the webcam on Linux Mint and one more question?

When I wanted to do a video conference today, the microphone on my (Linux) laptop did not work

The webcam is called up by a program, e.g. Browser during video conferences or a camera. Usually works automatically if you allow the camera access.

Is the microphone in Pulseaudio Volume Control active and not muted? The package is called pavucontrol if you want to install it.
