Deferring being productive?

I've had a problem with it for a while now, but haven't found a solution myself. That's why I'm asking here now.

Last year I asked for a laptop for my birthday because I was convinced that it would make me much more productive. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Then I wished for the Ipad pro for school at Christmas. Now I have it, but I'm not that much more productive. And so on.

My point is that I always postpone being really productive by saying, if this is true / I have that, I become productive and then all the time imagining how productive I would be if I had this item. But when I have it that is not the case and I (subconsciously) look for another object with which the same thing happens. Like an eternal circle. Does anyone have a solution or experience?

You're messing around with the same problem but unfortunately I also have it. You should try to start something and when you have done something for a while then see how you can improve it. So I want to study, so I study for 60 minutes every day. If you've done that for a month, check out what would help you. In the end, it's all about habit. You have to get away from the thought that you have to do everything mega efficiently but instead that in many cases it is simply about doing something at all

Ga

You have to make it a habit, then it'll work

Ed

Ok, so let's start at all first. I take that to heart, thank you.

Ed

Ok thanks, your answer really helps me a lot!

Ja

We'd be happy to see if it helps.

Look for apps in the Habbit Builder app store or habit tracker or something. And then you take a topic before it takes until a habit builds up, so start comfortably with one thing and build up the habit for 4 months or so.
