After fraud money back (court)?

In short I bought a laptop worth 2000 euro privately, transferred money but received nothing. I then indicated the seller. The perpetrator is now in custody, has confessed his act (and was involved in 10 other similar cases). In parallel, a lawyer was also turned on (via my insurance). I have now been informed by the police that everything has now been handed over to the public prosecutor's office.

The question that arises for me is what happens next and whether I will get the money back.

With all Internet shops you have to expect that you lose money. That's why you should not shop for large sums that really hurt in the loss.

For 2,000 euro you get a new laptop with high performance at the reputable dealer - such as the Conrad. I ordered a notebook for 529 euro from the Conrad a month ago, it was delivered the next day - without any problem.

Private sales are just riskier that the provider collected the money and does not deliver the ordered goods. That happens again and again.

Above all, high-priced goods should not be purchased via the Internet in advance. These are used cars, vintage cars, tractors, caravans, boats.

You can get back money only from someone who still has enough money. Fraud cases are on average rather poor. Where there may still be money, this goes first for the defense lawyer, for the court costs and for the possible fine on it.

If - as here - several victims are present, you must obtain an enforcement order against the debtor as soon as possible and request that it be established that the claim is based on an unauthorized act; without this statement in the title, you are only a normal believer;

this has the advantage that the general seizure limits do not apply and the enforcement court sets a far lower amount than the necessary allowance and can enforce the difference between this lower amount and the seizure privilege, even if you have other ordinary creditors in the lien;

if the file has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office, presumably a court order will be applied for, or an indictment will be filed; but you will not get any money from it;

but I assume that the lawyer knows what to do;

I'll get in touch with my lawyer, he'll probably have all that in mind. Maybe he has already applied for a title because he has received my authorization.
