Earlier, my laptop fell off the bed and immediately the screen was black but the drive was still running. I waited a bit hoping the screen would work again but nope. When I start it up, the engine is running and everything else is running as usual, the buttons and the light will come on but the screen will stay black. There's also no sound when I hear e.g. Put a USB stick in the laptop or remove it usually makes a noise but now nothing more.
Can you please help me you know why this could be and what I can do?
Well, then probably an electrical connection from the screen to the laptop will be interrupted. It was similar to me when my fell from not too high altitude. : /
You will probably have to give it in repair or the like.
Try the thing to an external monitor / TV via VGA / DVI / HDMI to connect. Maybe you'll get a picture there. If so, the display is probably broken. If it's worth it, then fix it. Otherwise a new laptop has to come from here. Certainly important data
Hang external monitor on the laptop and see if a picture is coming.
If so then it has only caught the monitor from the laptop and you can swap.
Whether it pays you have to know yourself. A TFT panel costs about 30-80 euro, depending on the model, it may of course be more expensive.
The rest you can try to clarify if an external monitor works.
