Virus on computer - what to do?

Today I played quite normally on my Acer Laptop Sims 4, but I was punched out at least 3 times. Even when I watched YouTube I was thrown out several times.

I immediately thought of a virus and scanned my laptop with Windows Defender, but nothing came of it. A few days ago I installed a mod for Sims 4. Could there be a virus there? (Download mods often)

Now I get notifications that I have changed something in the settings.

Now I have looked into the Task Manager and my CPU usage is usually around 50-70% and my RAM usage is usually 98% although I don't do anything on the laptop.

Facts about my laptop:

Operating system: Windows 10

CPU: Intel i5-7200U

RAM: 8GB

Is it a virus and if so what can I do?

What do you mean by "carved out"? And which process, in the Task Manager under Processes, utilizes CPU and Ram?

To do this, check what is activated in the Task Manager in autostart. You deactivate what you don't know. And if nothing is missing after a restart, uninstall this program under "Apps and Features".

Download "Malewarebytes". Is an antivirus program with a free trial period. Maybe it will find something.

The best thing is to radically rebuild the system (= everything gone… Save important files & the Windows etc. Key beforehand) & let the cooling system be cleaned thoroughly & it will run like new again.

Most processes use Chromium and Origin
