My laptop has a virus now what?

And I got about a year ago a laptop for a birthday, one of Toshiba. I'm always satisfied and at first everything was fine. I have never been on any page because I was always scared to get a virus. I've downloaded a few times on the laptop and apps and I think I have a virus that is problem I've had so many virus programs (Avira, antivirus) and nothing helps. I think this virus is somehow in the software I do not know all that well. The problem is my laptop has become so slow, playing youtube videos is not at all completely depends on my desktop and is always up an Internet ad that I get away. It's been a long time, I can barely use the laptop because it's so annoying. Besides, if I want to reset my laptop it stops at 24% and hangs.

What should I do? I would bring repair only in case of emergency if nothing works anymore.
