My brother had told me that if you enter a clothes shop with a strong magnet it would beep, but in cell phones laptops are also magnets installed and it does not beep
Where are strong magnets? And where?
because a laptop is based on different electrical impulses like a pc… And magnetic fields induce voltages -> electrical impulses are disturbed / falsified
No, the things work differently.
There are two systems, one is RFID and the other is Electromagnetic and Electroacoustic.
The latter can be activated or deactivated at the cash register.
Extremely roughly simplified, the anti-theft devices send back a specific wave pattern.
It does not work with a magnet alone, you just need a coil.
That depends on how the goods are secured in this shop.
Theft protection based on RFID will probably not be triggered.
but in mobile phones laptops are also magnets installed and it does not beep
No, cell phones or laptops do not generate a very strong magnetic field. Since it's more about really strong neodymium-iron magnets go and even with those I doubt that you can trigger old anti-theft devices.
