Authorize Apple ID?

I downloaded a few songs on my cell phone from iTunes and when I connected my cell phone to the laptop it said that I should authorize it to have it there on iTunes.

But whenever I give my Apple ID to authorize it, it says that the connection to the Apple ID server failed, even though my Apple ID is correct. I've tried a few things but just can't get any further…

Does anyone have any tips for me?

Maybe the Apple server is really having connection problems right now. How long did you try? Have days passed or just a few minutes?

You can connect your cell phone to your PC / laptop by connecting your battery cable to your cell phone and your PC / laptop. So charge your cell phone through your PC / laptop, so to speak.
