I used to play gta 5 on my laptp without laggs (wor 2-4 months). Always 60+ FPS. I downloaded the game now and it hangs. Initially it runs at 100 FPS and all of a sudden, as preprogrammed, I only have 20 or 30, and the GPU load then drops to 30-50%. Not 80 anymore. In the past everything was perfect and not anymore, so please don't write that my laptop is too bad or something.
My setup:
GTX 1050ti 4GB
I7 7700HQ
16GB Ram.
It is more than enough to be able to play the game smoothly.

Set all graphics settings to low and DirectX10 ALL TO LOW! It worked for me and it crashes net more often
Did you already notice that there were small graphic updates in GTA V? If you want to achieve 60 FPS in GTA V with the GTX 1050 Ti, then you have to really set the graphics settings down properly! Your graphics chip is already relatively old and it may simply be that it is slowly retiring.
Laptops are inherently bad in terms of gaming alone in terms of construction. You should get a gaming PC that is much better and you can always upgrade it.
I used to play on a laptop myself and can tell you from my own experience that it will be very annoying at some point. I play GTA V with the RTX 2060 Super and have 25-40 FPS on very high graphics settings.
I play naughty (can send a photo) with very high settings and reach over 100FPS at 99% load
With a 1050ti, medium or high graphics settings are possible.
Have a 660 graphics card and get along with it
