Asus laptop, data carriers are being repaired.This process can take over an hour?

My Asus laptop does not start up anymore, it just says: data carriers are being repaired. "This process can take over an hour".

If the HDD or CPU lamp flashes if available or does the hard drive make noises if it is still a mechanical one… If nothing is going on, you have to end it radically or hopefully and hope that it starts and completes a second attempt… If not, it could mean that the disk is defective or that Windows has to be reloaded:-)
