Why is the W-Lan connection to my laptop constantly breaking off?

Mainly I use my Asus F540SA to stream to Netflix and Amazon. There are times better and worse days but still breaks the wireless connection every now and then. In addition, I can connect myself only after a restart of the laptop again with the W-Lan. Am an absolute layman. Who can tell me why this is / can lie?!

Either the hardware (transmitter and / or receiver) or something disturbs the radio network.

Wireless networks can be disturbed by just about everything.

I would in your place update the WLAN drivers of the laptop. If that still does not work, you can get a separate Wi-Fi stick. They do not cost the world.

With the rout one should examine the configuration also times. A restart does not hurt either. But I think that it is more on the laptop than the router.

I think so too, because my roommate has no problems. How do you update the drivers?

Bi

By downloading and installing the right drivers from the homepage of the notebook manufacturer.

Turn to your roommate.

Alternatively, open the Device Manager, go here under Network Adapters and right click on the appropriate adapter (if there are several you can do it quietly for all) and then select "Update Driver Software" and then "Automatically search". That often helps already enough

This is different with each operating system, can you tell us which operating system (and version) your laptop is running?

Bi

Experience shows that downloading and simply installing is easier and more effective.
