I think I'm one of the last to use a netbook (an old Asus under Linux) on the go. Unfortunately, this is getting on in years and has to be replaced now. Unfortunately, these small 10-inch devices are hardly available anymore (although I depend on this small format and long battery life for the highest possible mobility).
What do you use now to be able to work on the go for little money?
A tablet with a keyboard (does that work "properly" under Linux?)
A Microsoft Surface Go (is it expensive)?
Or do I have to buy a "real" laptop?
"Real" laptops are also cheap.
Professionals who have to write a lot still have notebooks.
There are also compact or ultra-compact laptops.
For what types of work is it used? It may be worth switching to an Android tab with pen support and additional keyboard (Bluetooth / USB depending on the). Even a mouse would be possible if you missed it…
Optionally even with LTE modem, so that you can use a mobile card for the Internet. Further recommendations can only be given if you know the exact purpose.
