ASUS camera not working?

I bought a new ASUS laptop earlier this year and now the camera has stopped working.

The camera is activated and approved for all important apps. I've already updated the driver and uninstalled and reinstalled it, but it still doesn't work. The lamp lights up when used, but no picture follows, neither when zooming nor in the camera app. Properties in the device manager show that it is working properly.

Since I'm a student and currently have to do a lot about zoom, I need the camera.

What else could I do or what could be the reason?

Spontaneously, I can't think of a solution - apart from using your smartphone as a webcam, at least temporarily.
