Laptop always automatically goes into standby mode when I write something?

I'm really desperate. I hope you can help me here.

I have a laptop from ASUS (do not ask me which model, I have no idea)

At first everything went well. At some point the display always switched off automatically. Then it was time for the computer to stop booting up. Every time the laptop goes black and I turn it back on, there's a short sound (as if I had inserted a CD or something)

At some point I brought the thing for repair. At first I was told the hard drive was down, so it was replaced. The problem persisted.

I brought my laptop for repair again. After a week came the feedback. There was some problem with the motherboard. (It was probably pinched because of wrong holding, said the specialist)

Everything went well with the laptop for 1-2 months, but it has been going on for a few days now. At first, the screen is only 1-2 times a day. Now it's time for the thing to go out every few seconds, so I can barely use my laptop. (I wrote this text in about 10-15 minutes because of the problem)

Strangely, this problem only occurs when I type something. When using the laptop without a keyboard, it can be operated so far without any problems.

Maybe a liquid has gone in and it causes a short circuit on the motherboard, so the plug from keyboard to motherboard. Did you change the motherboard then?

Gu

The guy just told me I had my laptop wrong (too much weight on the case and that's why the motherboard was pinched) but was changed except the hard drive nothing

Em

Well, maybe because of the weight, you actually damaged the board or bent some "important" connections or pins. Since best is, you can change it. Maybe you can do it yourself…

Gu

I doubt that I can do it myself haha

Thank you for your answer. I will ask for it next week. Do you happen to know how expensive that would be?

Em

Depends on which category? Office PC or gaming PC. I think so between 70 and 150 euro. Do you still have warranty?

Gu

It is an '' Office PC '' about 14-15 months old, depends on whether you have 1 or 2 years warranty.

As a stopgap, you can use an external USB keyboard.

Your error description and the technician's comment lead me to believe that pressing the keyboard will actually result in a false electrical contact that causes the system to shut down.

Modern, ultra-flat notebooks are not very stable, unless you're buying a very expensive Dell business unit from Dell, HP, or Lenovo, which has high torsional rigidity and can only be slightly deformed.

Used devices with warranty are offered by various specialist retailers for little money and you save a lot of money and get a tank among the laptops with top equipment.

Back to your problem. You should get your device repaired in Germany for 2 years free of charge in case of a defect. Please check the warranty conditions that are valid for your device and have it repaired. Only after the end of the warranty period would I open the device and look for the spot that triggers the problem. It can e.g. A cable clamped during assembly by the technician or… There are many possibilities.
