You could reinstall Windows or bring the device back because it was needed (and apparently not tested).
That sounds like you've been given a return as new.
The dealer may have hijacked you an old, used laptop. Here is the warranty. If you do not want to exchange it and still have a PC / laptop at home, you can simply rewrite Windows yourself.
