Data lost when moving?

Have data from one to the other USB stick moved via Remote Desktop. Now another person has pulled out the USB stick during this process at the laptop and now all data are just files and you can't open them anymore, can they be restored or are they gone?

Are very likely gone. Next time copy the files from PC to USB and then delete them on the PC. So you have at least the original data in case something goes wrong.

The data of the source stick should still be readable. If not, they are probably gone. That's why you do not do that better directly from stick to stick.
