USB stick is not recognized?

My USB stick is no longer recognized. I have already tried to plug it into another USB port on my laptop and tried it on two other computers, but it doesn't work anywhere. Can someone tell me what it could be and whether you can solve the problem? Would be a shame about the files that I have saved on it.

Leave the USB stick in it for a while, your PC must install the driver for the USB stick.

Sometimes you just have to assign a drive letter.

You can do this in the disk management.

After a while I get a message that the USB stick was not recognized and was therefore thrown out of the system.

That means the stick is broken. If you have saved really important files on it, a data recovery company can unsolder the chips and install them in another stick, since often only the controller is defective. It costs some 100 to 1000 euro and there's no guarantee that it will work.

The cheapest flash chips available for purchase are used in USB sticks. That's why they're so cheap. You can't expect durability from them. It would be careless and bold to save important data on a stick only.

I did and it is now displayed but when I want to open it I always get the message:

Insert a data medium into the USB drive (E. Ein.

If a USB stick does not work on several devices, it is defective.

No backup? No mercy!

ta

USB sticks are used for data transport - not for data backup.
