Restoring a laptop does not work, what can I do

Hello dear community,

I wanted to rebuild my Dell laptop with Win10 via the settings. That has worked, but now comes this window, which can be seen in the photo. If I connect the laptop then with LAN or WLAN, it restarts and the window appears again. Does anyone know a way out?

Bi

Install the operating system completely new.

Say: insert / insert installation medium (DVD or USB) and from this boot.

Gr

Yes, not about the settings. As you say, reinstall - I would do exactly like that.

Fi

1. Download the "Media creation tool" from Microsoft

2. Start the tool on another pc, which works.

3. Install the so-called "ISO" file on a USB stick

4. Insert the USB stick into the PC and start it before starting the PC (which is scrap)

5. Then press "del" or f8 to get into the boot menu.

Then you can choose that you want to start from the usb stick and thus COMPLETE reinstall everything

Pr

The operating system has probably broken somehow when reset.
Format completely and set it up again.

Thanks in advance! And where do you get a Win10 system, what you can play on a USB stick? Does icb need to buy a new one?

pu

Where can I find the iso file?

Fi

Sorry.

The ISO file is what's on the Media Creation Tool, so the Media Creation Tool installs this "ISO" file on a disk of your choice, e.g. A USB stick

Bi

That's free at Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/.../windows10

You do not have to buy new ones, you already have a license.

pu

But if I rebuild the system I need a key right?

Bi

No you do not need to.

pu

Okay then:

1.Iso load file on USB stick

2. Reboot via USB stick

Is something missing? Do I have to do anything with the stick or just do the iso file on it?

Bi

Two possibilities:

The MediaCration Tool can make you a finished USB stick.
Or you just load the ISO down. You then have to deploy them (right-click in the Explorer and choose to deploy). This creates a virtual drive. The complete contents you copy on the USB stick.
