Tablet + Laptop or Surface?

I will soon start my studies and would like to write digitally.

Since it is a computer science study, but I would also like a laptop or something

What would you buy?

Surface is pretty handy and also more compact. However, I have to say from my own experience that it is simply better if you have two devices. I write on my iPad and then have the documents next to the laptop. Also exercise sheets, etc. And so does not always switch between the programs back and forth. Study also computer science.

Thanks, which iPad do you have?

How is it to write on it?

Co

Have the iPad 2018. Is getting used to since the glass is pretty smooth. Size is fine, but it's a matter of taste. Some of my fellow students have the Pro or a Surface, which are bigger.

Have recently brought me an Asus Transformer 3 Pro. Costs half of the Surface Pro. Find the tablet pretty well, has a great equipment. Have to buy used second hand and is already about 3 years old… But price performance top.

I'm not so sure if it is OK to type in lectures on a laptop, even if we have 2019 and it is about computer science, because it can be quite annoying!

Otherwise I have Tablets for several years (iPad2, 2x Galaxy Tab A), but I only use privately (CouchSurving). I find it hard to work 'productively', although there are possibilities! It would be useful for me only as a second device to something to look at (Pdfs, movies, animations, online, …) while typing something on the other device (laptop?), Oä.

If that is the case of application, the variant is double version of Tablet & Laptop OK, maybe even better!

Otherwise, I would rather prefer a Surface! Some colleagues use this and are very satisfied! You can use both functions on one device, and you do not have to think about what to take, unpack, set up or where the file is! AND if in doubt you can just write by touch / pen and still has it on the same device!

Cool, and then take onenote or something else?

Co

Goodnotes 8 or Now 9. Costs 8.99 euro I think.

So I wanted to write eig digital with pen, so on the surface or tablet. If tablet, then extra NEN laptop

As I said, the question for me is more, if you can do with a screen, or not two would be more useful? Your colleague was there quite clearly, with a similar justification! It tends to be a question of price! If you have to rely on an IT device, so to speak, it should not be too cheap, so that you do not start the big frills in an "emergency"! A normal laptop is there in 2019 certainly not soo problematic! A device with pen input should work smoothly, no matter if it's a tablet or a convertible!

2 devices are probably even cheaper, so that would probably be the best
