I tipped my glass of water and it got on my laptop. I tried to dry it out quickly. But it was too late, it went off by itself and now it doesn't work. What can I do about it Well worth a repair. Have had the laptop for 6 years. So I don't think that it still has a guarantee.

He no longer has a guarantee either way, 2 years for B2C, the guarantee is a voluntary service by the seller, whether a repair is worthwhile Do you need to know your data, if applicable? Ask at the local PC shop how high the costs are, then you can still decide!

My cousin did it by accident too. He was lucky and was actually able to use the PC again.

However, he may also have been very lucky.

I would only consider a repair if there were important files on the PC that would otherwise be irrevocably destroyed.

No, I don't have that much data. It's not that bad. But it's annoying. I checked the Internet, you should wait 2-3 days and then do it again but don't think it will bring anything or I'll go to the repair.

Okay, thank you for your answer. Otherwise I had read you should wait 2 3 days and then turn it on again and if that doesn't work then I'll go to the repair and get informed.

Dispose of and buy new. Data on the HDD may still be saved if you remove it and connect it to the new laptop with a USB adapter. With luck it will still work
