I last used our reasonably new notebook to play games when I noticed that it was getting very warm. That's why I got myself a cooling stand for little money, it felt more comfortable, but still warm.
Now, while playing, I had the temperature of the CPU measured with software.
Result: On average (while playing) 84 degrees, depending on the core 79 to 89 on average.
In some cases, however, it was even once at exactly 100 degrees (only with one core).
Does that mean "danger"? Does that have a significant impact on the service life? Or is that common and justifiable while playing on a notebook?
In normal everyday life, the temperature is usually between 35 to 60 degrees, usually rather low, so I think that's not a problem.
It is still a new device with an i5 processor and 8 Ram etc. (standard), so not a very old thing.
Thank you for the information, unfortunately you can find too many different things on the internet.
Temperatures of up to 100 ° C are normal for laptops due to the typically poor cooling. At higher temperatures there will be an emergency shutdown at some point, so nothing can happen there.
Mine shuts off at 110. So the temperatures are fine wherever he has.
When it gets hot it's time to clean it up. The only way this works is to unscrew the laptop, remove the fan, and remove the dust mat.
Thank you, that calms me down. As I said, the 100 (110, for example, never) were only brief once, otherwise an average of 84 degrees, if that's OK over a longer period of time, it would of course be great.
It shouldn't be that. The notebook is only a few months old and its exterior is well maintained. Don't think it's time to screw it up. In everyday use it doesn't get hot, as written. Only in games.
