Ask for a laptop?

I didn't necessarily do all the school assignments during Corona and wanted to visit relatives this weekend. But since I have to rework the tasks, I need an excuse to be able to take the laptop with me, but since it's not mine but my mother's, I have a problem. Can I help somebody?

Say as it is here. Say you have to do tasks that you need until after the weekend.

The best thing to do is come out with the truth, it might get you in a bit of trouble, but it is also the safest way to get your laptop. Because it will certainly be very much in your parents' interest that you do your schoolwork. Maybe you can stay at home for the same purpose
