I removed the hard drive, connected it to another laptop and removed the program, how can I get the hard drive to run without losing my settings?
is it enough if you just download the boot file somewhere?
In Windows 7 with a new installation the files have been moved to the Windows.old folder, is it the same with Windows 10?
1.) It seems to me unbelievable that a program simply removes your boot manager. It is questionable how that should be possible at all.
2.) With a new installation there's no Windows.old folder. Only with an upgrade
3.) You can create an installation medium yourself:
I have left the apartment, come back and my laptop is off while it was being installed, so I assume that it was the program that was being installed.
What did you see the next time you started the PC?
Have you been asked if you want to boot in safe mode? Did you get a message saying Windows was shutting down unexpectedly?
No, there was only the boot manager no longer there, but I'm trying to repair it with the Windows 10 image.
Yes, I would have suggested that too.
As such, I think a hard disk defect is probable (which then caused the computer to crash), but it will certainly not hurt to try to repair it using an installation medium or something similar.
Use your hopefully existing backup of your system data medium.
