Is an antivirus combined with an anti-malware program bad for protection?

I currently have on my Windows 10 laptop the antivirus Avira and additionally installed the Malwarebytes.

My question is whether the combination between the two programs is good for virus protection.

One usually says otherwise that two virus programs would be bad for protection. Does that also apply to the combination of an antivirus and an antimalware?

On Windows 10, you do not need an anti-virus program… Does all the Defender… And that very well.

If you have W10, you also have the good Defender.

All other virus programs will only be a hindrance and annoy each other.

Off to the bin…

The Defender is not exactly known as a good antivirus: /

Yes, he has a bad reputation, but now he can compete with top antivirus programs. I've enabled Bitdefender and the Windows Defender, never had problems.

Under Windows 10, no third-party antivirus software is actually needed. There, the Defender is implemented by default, which is completely sufficient and does not need to hide anymore.

Only Malwarebytes is a good addition, with which the own system can be temporarily tested for malware. Malwarebytes is first and foremost a "system scanner" and does not get in the way of antivirus software.

Where do you have this opinion, I do not know - he has stood up in the test against Kaspersky and Co. Better than the established…

I've enabled Bitdefender and the Windows Defender, never had problems.

You have not had any problems so far, because Defender limits itself to temporary scans in this case. So the main work is Bitfender.
