It is important to me that the printer can print a lot because we want to use the two of us (both students). He should also be able to copy and scan well. We will never fax and therefore do not need it. We will not print pictures, but in any case with color.
We both have Windows10 on our laptops and it would be cool if we could control it with our phones, which is not an exclusion criterion. The purchase should be at least under 400 euro new and he should be in € / page also cheap. It would be an advantage even if we fake cartridges (or as the things are called) can also use without refusing to use it by the software is installed.

I bought the brother DCP-9022CDW and am very satisfied with it.
The first cartridges unfortunately do not last so long, so I bought a set of third-party cartridges for 65 euro. He then lifts forever.
The only drawback with the cheap replacement cartridges is that the black color on the sides minimally decreases and thus does not print evenly on the sheet. In the middle it is excellent, but slightly paler towards the sides. Nevertheless, of course, to use, but do not be surprised and do not complain, because the questions, of course, whether original or third-party and then refer to it. So my experience. But it does not bother me!

Generating ozone (bad if the device is in the apartment)

That's why I bought an inkjet device. However, a device from Epson of the latest generation with large ink tanks (no small, expensive cartridges).
Look at the device on the Internet: EPSON ET3700.
I say that this can be almost anything you want. And it is already available on the internet for about 300 euro.
Note refilling the printer ink takes place from bottles into the ink tanks contained in the device. That should go with any foreign ink. But with this generation, the ink and thus the price per printed sheet is unbeatable even with original ink. There's no laser.
