I'm studying law from this winter semester and wanted to get a device to write down for the lectures. I currently fluctuate between the iPad Air 3 64GB + Apple Pencil + keyboard which I can get in a combo for a good 550 euro and a classic 13-14 inch laptop with AMD Ryzen 4000 processor for around 600 euro.
The iPad would have the advantage that I can take notes with Apple Pencil much easier, the laptop the advantage that full Windows is installed on it and I could do my homework on the go.
The device to be added is only intended for on the go, at home I have my (gaming) PC, which can be used for household chores etc.
If the iPad Pro 2020 11 "128GB offers an enormous advantage to the iPad Air 3 and justifies the resulting 300 euro price difference for the package, I would certainly also be willing to think about it.
I'm already looking forward to your input and advice.
Laptop is better. Not only from the management but also office apps have only a few features on tablets, this also applies to other apps
The ipad is good but would take a laptop.
In my opinion I would tend to the laptop because I find it more convenient to type on a keyboard that is in front of me rather than typing with an 'integrated' one
I use pen and paper (can learn better). Mostly a tablet because it's more practical in college (but not as effective as a laptop) so I would say laptop
Laptop
For the iPad, I would buy an external keyboard that is 1: 1 like a laptop keyboard, it is primarily about taking notes during the lecture.
Still, I tend to take the laptop because it has more power. Can pay off well
