I bought a Neewer-100 microphone, everything connected correctly. But when I wanted to connect the microphone to my laptop (IdeaPAd L340 Gaming), the laptop simply didn't recognize it. What can I do?
, The Microphone only works with the device that could provide enough power (Voltage Required: 5V) for it. When connected to a desktop computer, the Microphone could be used alone; When connected with a laptop computer, please connect the laptop to an electrical outlet, or use a 48V phantom power to get enough power if the sound is not clear and high enough. "
The NW-100 is a phantom power. Please express yourself better.
How should your laptop recognize the microphone as such? You insert a plug into the socket, this switches the contacts and the device can then process any signal voltage present. Your computer has no idea about 'life, the universe and all the rest'.
I mean, you've connected everything right, period. So I could speculate that your computer may not output the supply voltage required for operation at the socket and that the TRRS socket on the device would not expect a microphone signal at the tip of the jack plug - but where the cable included in the delivery might be anläge. But that's all idle; because you connected everything correctly.
Thanks for the helping and not big-kotzige answer!
