Windows Defender good?

I wanted to ask if the Windows Defender is good. I feel like I have a virus (probably getting too pure). My CPU is sometimes at 20% load on the start screen (but only for a maximum of 10 seconds). Well, and I always run Windows Defender over it, but it doesn't find anything and so I wanted to ask if it is good and if there really is nothing on my gaming laptop.

So Windows Defender in Win10 is very good… But unfortunately no AV in the world recognizes every virus or Trojan

In my experience, Windows Defender only protects against the common things, for example when you want to download a program, it says it could be harmful, but then when I was younger and only had Windows Defender, it had a virus and 3000 Possible dangers. So I downloaded the ESET antivirus, and I haven't had a virus since, because it warns you about EVERYTHING.

Thank you, yes I know that too, but it's good to know that the Defender is good

Wi

With Windows 10 the Defender should be better, but thanks

An extra antivirus is completely unnecessary because the most important thing is not good protection but Brain.exe

It is good enough and completely sufficient for normal users.

Of course, none of us can remotely rule out that you have a virus.

But the behavior you describe is completely normal.

To conclude that there's a malware infection is a bit paranoid after all.

When Windows starts, all the services have to be loaded first and some of them don't start immediately, but rather delayed, so that Windows starts up faster.

Logically, you have a bit more CPU activity in the first few minutes.

My CPU is sometimes at 20% load on the start screen (but only for a maximum of 10 seconds).

Windows must also start and set up the Explorer. )

Don't be too paranoid - the only way to catch malware is to simply download everything, such as attachments to emails or go to unknown websites and download things there.

Windows Defender is completely sufficient for information. I would not recommend any other AV if you want to save some power.

But was also younger and wanted Minecraft for free (。_。)

Thank you

You need to know how an AV works;

Basically, AVs have a list of signatures that are matched. If a part fits, the program appears threatening - when it isn't.

But that's the basic principle of any AV. That is why they are never 100% safe.
