2. Virus program next to Windows Defender?

I recently had my laptop set up again. So far, I have left Windows Defender to all of Internet security. There, however, I lack tools such as system speedup. If I can install Avira now, can that lead to problems, since there are already Windwows Defender?

Wh

You don't need another antivirus.
And tuning tools are just farmer's catch that Windows 10 does quite well itself.

ga

If I can still install Avira now, this will lead to problems

Yes of course. Then you can leave out the protection right away, because they may lever each other out or slow down.

Ja

Running two virus scanners in parallel only creates problems… And whether system speedup brings so much (although most of it will probably be advertising for Avira products) is questionable.

bo

OK.

ja

So I got my kaspersky back in there. This is where I find the °° secure payment button °° soothing… And it runs great despite Windows Defender

Bu

What do you need System Speedup for? To clean up? Windows already has everything on board. But otherwise you can install another antivirus besides Defender. The Defender will then be deactivated automatically. But in my opinion you don't need all this bells and whistles because Windows has everything.

Bu

That was in Windows XP times. Windows Defender will be deactivated as soon as another one is installed.

Bu

No, because the Defender is deactivated as soon as a second one is installed. But with the Speedup system, I'm 100% right.

ga

No idea. But the questioner doesn't seem to know that either, does he?

ja

No, my kaspersky runs flawlessly

Bu

Windows XP?

ga

But did you read that the Defender then switches off? So nothing with both at the same time.

We're talking about Win10 right?
